Abstract submissions are now open for the 15th International Conference on Compressors and Their Systems, which will take place from 13 to 15 September 2027 at City St George’s, University of London.

The conference will bring together researchers, academics, manufacturers, designers, suppliers and end users from across the international compressor community to discuss the latest developments in compressors, expanders, pumps, related systems and components.

Under the theme “Advancing compression technology through industry and academia collaboration,” the conference will provide a forum for sharing new research, practical applications and emerging technologies. The programme will include keynote addresses, high-quality research and technical papers, podium presentations, industry-focused sessions, specialist forums and opportunities for informal discussion and networking.

Papers are invited on a wide range of topics covering compressors, expanders, pumps and their systems, including, but not limited to:

• Positive displacement compressor and expanders
• Turbo compressors and expanders
• Other fluid machinery systems
• Case studies on industry and academia collaborations
• Energy efficiency, netZero technologies, sustainability
• Refrigeration, heat pumps, HVAC&R, thermal systems
• Oil & gas, process industries, hydrogen, special compressor applications
• Novel and interdisciplinary applications
• Design, modelling, analysis, testing
• Operation, maintenance, diagnostics, reliability
• AI, machine learning, digital twins, IoT, digitalisation
• Emerging technologies in design and manufacturing
• Safety, environmental impact, system integration

The conference particularly welcomes contributions that demonstrate collaboration between academia and industry and address current technical, environmental and operational challenges.

Important dates

22 November 2026 – Abstract submission deadline
14 February 2027 – Selected authors to submit draft papers
9 May 2027 – Refereed draft papers revised and final papers submitted

Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be invited to prepare a full paper and present their work at the conference. Papers must be written and presented in English and should not have been previously published or presented elsewhere.
