On 29 October 2025, Professor Ahmed Kovacevic, FREng delivered an invited lecture at the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) TechTalk series titled “Emerging Technologies in Compressors and Their Systems.” The lecture showcased Centre’s latest research on next-generation compressor technologies, building on the work that earned him the prestigious J&E Hall International Gold Medal.

Professor Ahmed Kovacevic delivered a keynote speech at the 10th International Conference on Compressor and Refrigeration, held in Xi’an, China. His presentation, titled “Emerging Technologies for Positive Displacement Compressors and Expanders”, focused on cutting-edge developments in the field of compressor technology and their role in supporting a Net-Zero future.

This week, our team from City St George’s, University of London had the privilege of attending the International Conference on Screw Machines (ICSM) at TU Dortmund, Germany. It was a great opportunity to present some of our latest research and engage with colleagues from around the world who are working on similar challenges in screw compressor technology.
